INSPIRE SIERRA CENTER FOR HEALTH

Mind, body, and independent living.

At Inspire Sierra we know that illness, stressors, and suffering can affect multiple aspects of your life. We believe that life is full of both joyous and painful experiences, and we want to help you be present and connected for all of it.

We are a psychiatric clinic that specializes in the intersection between medicine and psychiatry. We provide in-depth psychiatric assessment of people with complicated medical histories. We provide medication management, psychotherapy, assistance with lifestyle change, and coordination with your specialists. We provide peer support for people with disabilities through partnering organizations.

We are also pleased to announce our joining with Nugent Family Counseling Center. This opportunity will allow us to provide better mental health services to all our clients.

Meet the team.

Psychiatrist

Dr. Pavlatos-Delavoye trained in Chicago, IL, where she completed medical school at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine and a psychiatry residency at Rush University Medical Center. She has spent most of her career working at the intersection of medicine and psychiatry. She has worked in integrated care clinics and as a consult psychiatrist to medically ill patients. She taught psychotherapy, med/psych topics, and diversity topics to trainees at the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Reno as a clinical assistant professor for many years.

Dr. Pavlatos-Delavoye sustained an autoimmune spinal cord injury in 2015. She values the depth and insight being a disabled physician has brought to her practice. She participates in adaptive sports and loves to hike in the beautiful Sierras with her family and her SideStix crutches.

Clinical Secretary/Neurofeedback Technician and Wraparound Clinician

Joceline Esquivel is the Clinical Secretary/Neurofeedback Technician and Wraparound Clinician at Inspire Sierra and Nugent Family Cousenling Center. Joceline loves to help people. During her gap year in college, she taught English to children and teenagers for free in her home country of Guatemala in the municipality of Quesada. Having a job with meaning and purpose is why she enjoys being at Inspire Sierra. She loves Latin dancing and is currently working towards her double major in Psychology and International Affairs at the University of Reno Nevada. Es un placer trabajar para ustedes.

Wellness Coach

My name is Jennifer MacDonald, but everyone calls me “Lizzie”. Drawing from my own experience of improved well-being after using a health coach when I was faced with multiple autoimmune diagnoses, I became passionate about Health and Wellbeing coaching. I am certified through WellCoaches since 2022. I am dedicated to empowering clients to move towards finding a balanced and fulfilling life regardless of health status or disability.  As a coach, I utilize evidence based practices, including positive psychology, principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and motivational interviewing. Most importantly I honor that each client is the expert on their own life.

During an initial coaching session, we will identify your priorities and develop a personal wellness plan as well as identify first steps. In follow-up sessions, we review progress towards your wellness plan, explore what is working, and create additional goals to continue moving forward. Clients enjoy the “ah-ha” moments along the way and how energizing it feels to have someone to be accountable to and celebrate your successes.

I enjoy hiking in the Sierras with my SideStix forearm crutches and service dog, getting creative with cooking for my celiac disease (tasty gluten-free is an art!), and have found a new passion for competitive swimming with my local Masters Swim Team. I am a certified adaptive and trauma-informed yoga teacher (RYT-200) and ambassador for Accessible Yoga. I have a BA in Psychology from the University of Nevada, Reno.

Well-being isn’t the absence of disease, but finding ways to live the best you can.

I am available to work with clients in person at the Reno office and via Telehealth for all clients living in other states.

Peer Support Coordinator
